A Bright Green is a digital ecological token – a record of verified ecological improvement on a group of working farms. It connects a buyer’s purchase to the evidence supporting that improvement.

A Bright Green is not a carbon credit. It represents all the other ecological improvements that can happen on a farm except carbon — for example biodiversity, water, soil and ground cover.

The evidence is built from farm-level information combined with satellite and other independent data sources, and assessed through an approved verification process. Buyers receive a clear explanation of what was measured, what changed, and how confidently the result is supported.

FarmEye is a software application for farmers and their advisers that gives them a working view of the whole farm. It brings production, financial, and ecological information together so farmers and advisers can manage the farm and demonstrate how the land is changing.

72.5% of a Bright Green purchase is paid to the group of farmers whose verified ecological work created it.

Farming conditions vary. Evidence and claims reflect what actually happened on the land during the relevant period. Ecological improvement can continue to take place during and after disasters and difficult seasons, and helps to build shock resilience for the entire farming operation.
